'Til Death

        By ancient tradition, those born with the talent for necromancy – the esoteric art of life energy discovered by the ancient Ashen Empress – fill the highest seats of power. Each such mage is expected to take on a knight, a steadfast guardian whose blade protects when magic fails. They both swear a solemn oath to act with one unified will, ‘til death do they part. Despite the close bond they share, mages and knights are forbidden by custom to involve themselves with one another romantically.

        This rarely stops them.

        'Til Death is a roleplaying game for two people - for couples, if you like. One plays the knight, the other the necromancer. They take turns drawing event cards and secretly indicating how they feel: unity increases their love, discord increases their hate. Yet, doom stalks their relationship no matter how strong their bond. In the end, someone always dies.
